At Mountainroad Studios, we provide top-tier mixing and mastering services, offering both stereo and Atmos mixing. As a certified 'Mastered for iTunes' engineer, we also deliver high-quality mastering. Our services cater to a diverse range of clients, from indie projects to big-budget label productions, helping everyone achieve their sonic visions and stand out in the competitive music industry.
In this initial stage, we collaborate with you to understand your artistic vision and goals for the project. You provide us with the necessary files, including the final producer bounce and any reference tracks that inspire you. This helps us grasp the sound and style you’re aiming for, ensuring that we align our approach with your creative intent from the start.
Once we have your files, our mixing process begins. Typically, we complete a mix within 2-3 days. However, if you require a faster turnaround, we offer expedited services to meet your deadlines. During this phase, we carefully incorporate your feedback and notes to enhance the track, ensuring it sounds its absolute best while staying true to your vision.
After delivering the initial mix, we enter the tweaking stage. We encourage you to review the mix and provide any additional notes or adjustments. We include up to 5 rounds of tweaks to refine the mix according to your preferences. Should further revisions be necessary, a service fee may apply, depending on the extent of the changes requested. Our goal is to fully realize your vision and deliver a mix that you’re thrilled with.
If you choose to include mastering, we offer high-quality mastering services as an Apple "Mastered for iTunes" certified studio. We can handle ISRC implementation and other metadata requirements. Our mastering services include the same four versions as the mix: Full Mix, Instrumental, A Cappella, and TV (all elements minus the lead vocal). We also offer the option to master an extended version at no additional cost. However, if additional demands arise, we reserve the right to discuss potential additional fees with you.
Final Delivery
Upon finalizing the mix or master, we provide you with four versions of the song: Full Mix, Instrumental, A Cappella, and TV (all elements minus the lead vocal). For mixing services only: each version is delivered in two variations: one with full volume as heard during the tweaking stage and one with approximately 4dB of headroom, prepared for mastering. Additionally, we include the stems of the song for further flexibility in post-production.
